You’re group is foraging for edible/medicinal plants & mushrooms in Santa Cruz! Learn how to recognize, harvest and prepare edible species of Northern California on this ~2.5-hour forest hike.

Taste the local flavors of northern California. While hiking in the redwoods, pines, creek sides and chaparral ecosystems, our local foraging expert will teach you wild-food harvesting techniques. These classes are really fun and interactive!

ITINERARY

We’ll meet at a designated location at a designated time, organized by your group contact and the guide. Once you reserve your trip, we will be in touch! We take a very moderate pace through beautiful creekside redwoods as we meander ~2 miles while learning about plant and mushroom harvesting. Trail has some hills but nothing too steep. Get ready to have fun, sample some “trail snacks” and enjoy the abundant and delicious ecosystem of Santa Cruz.
